The more I look at it, the more imperfections I see. The most glaring one in my eyes is the fact the head/tip of the founatin pen is out of proportion with the shaft of the pen. The tip looks too big in my opinion. I guess I'm picky that way.
In all honesty, I'm a graphic design hack. No training, just a bit of natural talent and a willinigness to play around to figure out how stuff works. I probably better get on the stick, though. I plan on opening up my layout/design business within a month or so after Winter War. =P
Anyway, glad you like it, and I'm glad to see you posting on my very erratic blog. My condolances on the Jeopardy thing. My family and I did watch, and wow, was the guy who won that show ever a geek! ;)
Then I began thinking on what we're trying to foster with WoAdWriMo. Yes, we're trying to encourage folks to get off their backsides to write something, but that purpose is so they can have and share a bunch of kick-ass adventures with the their friends!
The pen is the gateway, but the play's the thing, and in this case, the play is some goold ol' sword-swingin', spell-chuckin', bullet-spittin', two-fisted adventure!!!

The one tiny change I might suggest is putting the pen over the sword rather than the sword over the pen.
The pen is mightier, after all.
